1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 ‘S’ Drophead Coupe
Finished in its original colour of BRG coachwork with Suede Green hide, matching carpets throughout in. Black soft top trimmed in mohair, the attention to detail of the workmanship which went into the trimming is perfection. Equipped with 16'' chrome wire wheels sitting on Pirelli Centurato tyres which makes the Jag look regal on the streets and chrome embossed two ear spinners which add class.
Correct 700 head lamps finish off the period look. The restoration: Every point of interest has been fully documented from start to finish. You only then can fully appreciate the 1000's of man hours which have gone into this restoration upon viewing.
Every nut and bolt has been replaced on this car and a credit to the men who carried out these works. The detail and preparation that have gone into this car include; the front brake callipers have been uprated to 4 pot Zeus callipers (the best in our opinion). Electrics now 12 volt with alternator and a high output starter motor. Enlarged radiator with Kenlowe fan to keep the 'Cat' cool in heavy traffic, twined with EZ steering make it effortless to motor along. Built in the final year of production of this series, there was more to the 3.8 S than just an extra carburetor; this was the ultimate XK built.
Equipped with limited slip differential and high combustion and straight pot head. Examples of this pedigree and attention to detail rarely become available making this a wonderful opportunity to be able to present.
