Established by nick wells in 2021, dore & REES motoring division conducts regular auctions of collector’s cars, motorbikes and automobilia at prestigious venues in southern england
Since 2021 Dore & Rees Motoring has built an enviable reputation for well presented and interesting auctions, paired with excellent customer service. In this time the team have sold several hundreds of collectible vehicles and thousands of items of automobilia and watches, often at market-leading prices.
Our Motoring auctions are well received and popular, with strong bidding from the UK and abroad.
2026 sees in an exciting new phase of expansion for the Motoring business. Now located in its own building in West Sussex, the new headquarters provides a dedicated auction room for collectibles, also meeting and showroom spaces. We are delighted to continue to work with our existing established auction venues, and very pleased to welcome new partners and clients alike.
Established in 1868, Dore & Rees was once part of a bustling Vicarage Street in FRome.
Although many of the other businesses have disappeared, the saleroom has an enduring presence in the gothic-style building resembling with thriving sales. Since the 1980s Dore & Rees have held regular sales of antiques, contemporary furniture and collectibles.
In new ownership since 2021, and counting more BBC Antiques Roadshow specialists in the team than any other British auction house, Dore & Rees offers a market leading service in Asian art, classic motoring, jewellery, silver, watches, interiors and rare antiquities.
